The ancient Mayan ritual site of Copán, in the rainforest near Guatemala, is carved with hieroglyphs and stelae and tall stone monuments. In the Caribbean Sea lies the Bay Islands, a diving destination that is part of the 1,000 km long Mesoamerican Barrier He Reef.
Anthony asserts that Honduras is known for its rich natural resources such as minerals, coffee, tropical fruits and sugar cane, as well as a growing textile industry serving the international market.
